Stephen, So glad to hear you're doing so well.  I am thanking God for your Diana too.  I haven't crossed that road yet in the almost nine years my Jimi has been gone BUT have a great guy in my life and feel this is the year.  Your post gives me hope that I can allow myself "happiness" again!  It just feels strange to have feelings like this again without the "guilt" that has stopped me all this t...

Izabella, Thanks so much for all the info.  He hasn't been seen by a doc yet...just found out they have an appointment next Friday w/an onc at St. John's in Detroit.  Wanted to see where other Michiganians were receiving treatments.  Have forwarded the info to my friend.   I remember how much drugs can cost fighting cancer for sure.  I used all my 401K monies to keep our house out of forecl...

Hello, I am usually on the brain cancer site but my best friend's son, whom I have known since the day he was born, has been diagnosed with liver cancer.  He's in his thirties.  He was told this over the phone by a doctor in Port Huron and also told his insurance will not pay for the treatments they would like to do.  Does anyone know of a great doctor in Michigan?  My late hubby was at Karmanos ...

Stephen, What a wonderful tribute!  I cried so hard it was beautiful. You turned a day with bad news into a day for counting my blessings.  Had conversations like those with my children and grandsons but this really made me see things from THEIR point of view.   Strength and prayers,  Debz

seed70, All I can say is WOW!  Unfortunately my late hubby was an avid pot smoker, which did not help his GBM, but did help him with other issues during treatment.  Am hoping that this study is taken seriously.   Strength and prayers to all you warriors and loved ones, Debz

I ran across that right after my Jimi passed away.  I have it taped to my computer...to remind me every day to try to get on with my new life.  Very well stated, very hard to do. Strength and prayers to all, Debz

Stephen, What a wonderful post!  You never know what each day brings and am happy for you that even though it was kind of a sad day, it brought you such happiness.  Keep that attitude for as long as you can. Strength and prayers, Debz

First off I’d like to apologize if my post makes anyone uncomfortable but it is my view after being a GBM caregiver.   After watching my husband deteriorate from the beast, his GBM was one of the worst they had ever seen at Karmanos (he was given twelve months and that was an accurate diagnosis); I wish that option would have been available to him.  It was heart wrenching to see a vital and active ma...
