      So happy for you. Actually tears of happiness while reading! I am a mother of a daughter who in 2012 was diagnosed with AA3. She had the surgery, finished the radiation, but was only able to complete three weeks of the temodar. She is seen every two months now by the oncologist with a MRI in hand just to keep on top of things as there is a " blip " as I call it on the reports since the surgery. So to read this ma...

        Hello, my daughter in 2012 was diagnosed with anaplasric astrosytoma grade 3. She was on 120 mg. of temodar. She only could take it for 30 days before she was hospitalized and taken off her chemo medicine. She did however finished her radiation a little off schedule, but finished. She never did go back on the chemo to finish and she was not put on the double dose regiment ( 5 on and 23 off ). She does do MRI's ev...

          I went on this site in June 2012 in search of answers to my daughter diag. of a AA3. What I got out of it was far more than I bargained for. I met someone exactly in my shoes and we still talk almost daily. Best support ever. . It has helped so very much , and I met a friend for life. So thank you. Linda

            Good idea is to always bring a envelope (self addressed stamped ) to all appointments with what you would like sent to you. ...final report, impressions, diagnosis, etc. I usually make friends with the person at the helm...desk etc. and let them know my requests. When my daughter gets her MRI they give a cd copy ( dated ) for us to bring to the oncologist and then keep afterwards. It is a lot of remembering o...

              Haven't been here in such a long time, but wanted to come and say hello and update my story. In June 2012 my daughter experienced terrible headaches. First a cat scan that lead to an MRI two days later which revealed a massive ( tangerine in size) tumor and a ride directly to Jefferson ICU from the MRI site . Three days later surgey took place.
