Dear Stacy, What a beautiful tribute to your husband. God Bless you and your girls. I lost my husband Jerry on August 4, 2011. We were also married for 20 years and I have 2 children ages 18 and 16. I feel your pain and miss Jerry every minute of everyday. Your poem is so touching and filled with love. I will pray especially for you and your family today. Many hugs and much love. Margaret
So very sorry that another warrior has left us.
Many prayers for peace and comfort in the days ahead and beyond.
Margaret
My husband Jerry died peacefully at 11:48 p.m. on August 4, 2011 surrounded by his entire family. I still cannot believe he his gone from us. I am so very sad. The first week of August I struggled with the idea of bringing Jerry to the Cape, but on the mornong of August 4th I made the decision along w/ family members and our wonderfful hospice nurse Peggy that it would be impossible. I decided my childr...
Yesterday Jerry had another MRI because his symptoms were progressing. As I knew in my heart the tumor is growing. Hospice is here and we are beginning the final phase of our journey. The doctor told us 4 to 12 weeks but they said it is only a guideline. Now my hope is to be able to spend a week on Cape Cod, as we have done for the last 25 years with Jerry's family. My children have always l...
My husband Jerry had his 2nd avastin treatment on July 5th. Since that time his is weaker, at times unable to walk, barely sits up when in a chair and rarely speaks. So many have seemed to improve but Jerry seems much worse with the treatment. Has anyone experienced decline before they showed signs of improvement. How long will they continue treatment at this point. I am sooo not ready for th...
Jerry had his first Avastin treament on 6/15 due to a thickening of his tumor. Seems to slowly be declining. Very weak, cannot walk well, more confused and seems to have what I can only describe as "blankness" and shortness of breath. Spoke with the Dr. today and it was suugested we continue the next avastin treatment but introduce a "Bridge to Hospice" which will give us services at home. It is of...

He had diarrhea 2x today. Very weak, especially left side. I am very worried. He will be having treatment every 3 weeks and an MRI scheduled for July 29th. We are in our 7th month of this journey and I am af...
