Hi Sharon. This board is a great source of information. You moght want to take her to Duke University's brain center or MD Anderson in Houston Texas for another opinion. I think there is Mayo clinic near Boston as well. Good luck in your research and God bless you.

My wife used steriods after surgery along with tylonol. She used hydrocodone only when the pain was bad and now not at all. When you go on the steriods, you have to taper off slowly, and should not just stop or only use when you have pain. The radiation will give you some inflamation and drinking a tea made from Tumeric, ginger, lemon, and cinnamon, will help with the swelling as well as other health bennifits. The ty...

I don't know what your doctor means " it's a double'"   but here is a link tosomeof the clinical trials there are. https://www.cancer.gov/about-cancer/treatment/clinical-trials/search/results?protocolsearchid=6205688 there are more and there are many. Do some research, get second opinions. Not all doctors were A students, and some will help you more than others. Question everything they say and f...

Sorry to hear about your father, but do not give up on this! My wife is 60 and she was diagnosed with stage 4 in Dec. 2015. Had an emergency op and given 6 months to live. 6 months latter, it had returned and was the size of a baseball. We went to Duke U for polio virus trials, but it was too large. We did experiance a lot of love and many people who were volenteering at the brain center and peripherally. Seems like ...

there are many clinical trials out there and more are being added every day. My wife went to MD Anderson and was enrolled the CMV clinical trial and it has worke for her for the last year. I know that isn't long but we are feeling confident!! She also enrolled in the 5-ALA trial @ UCSF. I feel that surgery, and with Dr Burger doing it, played a big part in the glio not coming back. Here is the link to that trial. Rea...

Sorry to hear you have this, but I like your attitude!! My wife has had two resections and is, for the last year glio free! After doing the standard treatment, chemo and radiation, I think we would have passed on the radiation, BUT, if you have a recurrance, most clinical trials will not admit you unless you have gone throught the standard protocol. That's an important thing to keep in mind. As far as the clinical tr...

When my wife would get sick, she would take some CBD's or , I think it was called odonzintron, or something simalar. Ask you doctoer for something to help with that.

There is always hope! My wife had surgery for her first tumor Dec. of 2015. Grew back to the same size in 6 months. That was a little hard to take. Long story short, we went from the east coast to the west coast trying to get into clinical trials. Had the second surgrey at UCSF with Dr Burger with the ALA clinical trial. Excellent job. Enrolled in the CMV clinical trial at MD Anderson where they took her T-cell and g...
