Hi. My wife was dx with GBM in 2015 and after her second resection we started using CBDs. We took he of Keppra and she is still on CBDs now and we have not had any kind of seizures. We feel the CBDs are working great, but can't be sure. Hope this helps a little. Taks care and aloha.

My wife finished up with the CMV trial @ MD Anderson in Feb. and has had all clean MRI's since her last surgrey a year ago this month. In the trial, they filter out your T cells and genetically modify them to fight the genetics of the GBM. It seems to be working! She also was in the ALA-5 clinical trial@ UCSF with Dr. Burger. (best bet on surgery in my mind)There are a lot of clincal trials out there you just have to...

Hi. This is a really tough thing you are going through and you will have to stay strong! I know that sounds pretty weak, but it's true. Just remember that what he says when he is in a bad mood, isn't a reflection of you, it's what the GBM is doing to his mind. Remember that he really does love you. I looked at it as a test from God when my wife would go off. I took it personally and then I would remeber that she was ...

Hi Sharon. This board is a great source of information. You moght want to take her to Duke University's brain center or MD Anderson in Houston Texas for another opinion. I think there is Mayo clinic near Boston as well. Good luck in your research and God bless you.

My wife used steriods after surgery along with tylonol. She used hydrocodone only when the pain was bad and now not at all. When you go on the steriods, you have to taper off slowly, and should not just stop or only use when you have pain. The radiation will give you some inflamation and drinking a tea made from Tumeric, ginger, lemon, and cinnamon, will help with the swelling as well as other health bennifits. The ty...

I don't know what your doctor means " it's a double'"   but here is a link tosomeof the clinical trials there are. https://www.cancer.gov/about-cancer/treatment/clinical-trials/search/results?protocolsearchid=6205688 there are more and there are many. Do some research, get second opinions. Not all doctors were A students, and some will help you more than others. Question everything they say and f...

Sorry to hear about your father, but do not give up on this! My wife is 60 and she was diagnosed with stage 4 in Dec. 2015. Had an emergency op and given 6 months to live. 6 months latter, it had returned and was the size of a baseball. We went to Duke U for polio virus trials, but it was too large. We did experiance a lot of love and many people who were volenteering at the brain center and peripherally. Seems like ...

there are many clinical trials out there and more are being added every day. My wife went to MD Anderson and was enrolled the CMV clinical trial and it has worke for her for the last year. I know that isn't long but we are feeling confident!! She also enrolled in the 5-ALA trial @ UCSF. I feel that surgery, and with Dr Burger doing it, played a big part in the glio not coming back. Here is the link to that trial. Rea...
