        Hi, I hope your father receives good care.... I had the same cancer of the esophageal junction. I had stage 2... but after operation the pathology report came back stage 3. But I had no nodes involved ... they should give him chemo and radiation first. Then operation. Esophagectomy.... I have read on here many people that have had stage 4 cancer and still had the operation... I think it’s the best chance to survive t...

          I see, well is the cancer actually in his throat ? Or esophagus? and stomach and lungs it would seem To have spread. I would guess they will be looking in his liver... ? I believe they will take a very aggressive approach to that much cancer ... before it goes any further if it hasn’t already...

            Well that is a lot of area to hit with radiation. Maybe they are seeing if it will all respond to chemo fist???? But I would just ask the doctors!!! See what they say? Have you had them staged yet? That would be the next thing I would think?

              Hi, take a deep breath .... if you have had exstincive blood work and the white count is the only thing out of wack . Why can’t you ask your dr. For a pet or ct scan of your body!!! Seems like that would put your mind at ease.... unless something shows up and then you can deal with that... rather than letting your mind run away with you... hope this helps...

                Hi it would seem like they would use radiation with the chemo...???? Unless you have had radiation before in those areas ? Good luck

                      Hi all I am new here but after reading what people have posted I felt I had to chime In..... just had my surgery June 13... at UF in Jacksonville .. by dr. Awad.. I have had nothing but reflux for hell just like everyone else.. I have not had Problem with aserbating as yet.. and hope I don’t it sounds horrible... I do sleep on a 12in. Wedge pillow and that has worked for me so far... but fight reflux all day long...
