    Hey i was right there with ya last month. I was offically dx with Stage IVa T2N2bM0 HPV+ SCC R tonsil 6/29/17 but went to ENT on 6/14 when I was told I had a tumor and was probably cancer. From 6/14 until just this week I have been lost. All the questions arise in you . I had a tonsilectomy/biopsy first. When I met both my onocologist /team this week a calm came over me and my wife. We know our path now... I not sure...

        So just had my apt with rad OC. Went great. I am so comfortable with my team. Was cleared by dentist to proceed with tx.  Next up mask and measurements. I ready to do this.  Stage IVa T2N2bM0 HPV+.    7 weeks rad/chemo. I got this!!!!

            I will try... like you said  i feel calmer today... getting my mind right is hard to do...but i am gonna push forward...my wife is a little more at ease also... i know the journey is just begining but i think i am ready for what is to come

              So stage iv t2n2bm0 SCV HPV+.... onocologist said no to sx first..yeah.. i was told by ENT that radical neck disection would be first.. so this is good news.. dr thinks tx will shrink tumors well. So rad/chemo coming up.  See rad onocologist wed. And get her tx plan and what have you... dr is very positive thinking. I like that...first time in a month i feel better mood...yeah i know tx is terrible but hey.. gon...

                Thanks so much for the info.. My wife and I are trying to grasp this all as the big day on monday as we will finaly get to talk with onocologist.  It has been a heck of a few weeks. We are trying to keep our spirits up

                    So my first onocologist apt is in 2 days.. It seems like forever sine I was Dx.  It has only been 2 weeks though and PET scan was just last week (previous post disc sx ) My p.o. apt was Wed with my ENT said im healing from sx but still have alot of cancer left that onocoligist will address.                       Just got biopsy results...squamous celll..  im crushed.. we tokd my children...wife is strong...very hard to take in..  will get PET  scan next and then onocolgist...
