Thank you I will definitely have all of those checked out by a physician. It also happened when I was hypo so there's no rhyme or reason to it!

Has anyone on here experienced angioedema symptoms after their throidectomy or RAI? More often than not I wake up with swollen feet, hands, lips throats and face. I'm not quite positive it's angioedema but that's all I could come up with just from the symptoms I experience and reading up from it online. My TSH is normal and I even tried a few different diets to find out if I had developed a new allergy to food but it...

Hi, I am so sorry to hear about your recurrence. How did you find out/know something was wrong? I had a thyroidectomy 8 months ago and RAI 6 months ago and have a bad feeling/am paranoid about recurrence. My doctor thinks since my tsh is normal I don't need to see him again until Jan to test my tg, but I'm not sure I can wait that long! I don't want to seem like a paranoid patient, but I can't tell if it's in my head...

I had the same fear before thyrogen/rai and didn't have any symptoms at all during them! Of course everyone's different and you may experience some symptoms, but try to remain calm and positive and it will be over soon!

you're right, reading other people's horror stories will only make me more scared and most likely (hopefully) won't happen to me! I learned that after dealing with my surgery when I was more scared of people's experiences than my actual surgery/outcome itself.  but thank you very much I will look into it!

thank you.  When I saw my surgeon two weeks ago for a follow up he told me call him in a month if it is not back yet, so I guess I will just wait a bit longer.  If not, I will definitely make an appointment with an ENT.  As for the RAI, being quarantined and radioactive sounds scary to me lol, but I do not know many details yet aside from watching and reading other people's stories online and doing a l...

hello, its been almost a month since my total thryoidectomy.  I feel great besides the fact that I still have no voice! anyone have any tips on how to get it back? I am back to regular life and am not just going to put it on hold becuase I don't have a voice but it does get frustrating at times.  Also, I have to start RAI soon because the cancer did spread to my lymphnodes and they had to remove them.  ...
