My granddaughter had BEP chemo for Sertoli-Leydig beginning April 2013 till June 2013 at age 16. Last month she had her vaginal ultrasound done and they found an "abnormality" on her remaining ovary. Could be just a cyst, they say. They're waiting for another period cycle and then will repeat the ultrasound for a better look. Who out there has had a recurrence? And how was it discovered? What steps were taken? Needle...

My granddaughter was diagnosed at 15 with Sertoli-Leydig they removed one ovary and she went through BEP chemo one year ago. Ow there is something on the remaining ovary.DON't know yet what. Where did you go for the Dicer1 testing? Is there somewhere that they will not charge for it? If. to, now much did it cost? Thegrandma

My 15 year old granddaughter had Sertoli-Leydig ovarian cancer....had ovary and Fallopian tube removed and BEP chemotherapy one year ago. Now, it may be back. Is there any facility out there that offers free Dicer1 testing? Insurance won't cover it. Thanks everyone. thegrandma

By all means call your doctor with ANY concerns you have, no matter how small you think they may be. That's what he's there for! Don't live with worry waiting for your next appointment. Who is helping you deal with all of this? Your mom and dad? Let them know how you're feeling and what you worry about. Talk it out with them, and whomever else you are close to. You have a lot to deal with and you don't have to do it ...

Hi Emmmm1234. I am so sorry this has happened to you. I know you are scared. My granddaughter also was diagnosed with sertoli leydig in Nov. 2013. She was fifteen at the time. After her right ovary and fallopian tube were removed we went to MD Anderson hospital in Houston hoping to see Dr. Gershenson. Although it is difficult to find an "expert" for this rare form of ovarian cancer, his name was mentioned more often ...

I am sorry for all that Kristen, and you, have had to go through. I had hoped everything was improving for her. She sounds like a wonderful girl. The way she is handling this very terrible time in her life is awe inspiring. You have a very special daughter. You have such a huge heartache to bear, I know. And, you're right, you must continue to find your strength to carry on in your faith in God, and in his plan.....a...

I don't know how I missed your post. I only saw it now, when responding to the one posted yesterday about sertoli-leydig. You probably got it , too. If so, you'll see my response. How is your daughter? I am so sorry I wasn't of any support when this was all happening to you and your daughter. If you can, please let me know how you are. You have my prayers, too. B
