Hi... No... he's not taking steriods... took only after surgery. I think his symptoms may be from radiation 4+ yrs ago...? no one's can saying for sure.  But... a neurologist friend hinted at this.  Found it's called Late Effects, little information... but:  http://www.abta.org/brain-tumor-treatment/side-effects/late-effects.html Thank you.!

My husband is a 4+years survivor.  Had almost complete resection of GBM in right temporal lobe.  Treatment was radiation and Temodar... MGMT methylated,  Had recurrence, a year ago, after 3 years,... surgery took out as much regrowth and old necrotic tissuse as possible without compromising his quality of life. Terraserene, hi Serene... a beautiful place to be.   My husband's fallen four times since I posted this, his foot's more turned more outward and dragging.  His thinking is pretty good, his hand strength is compromised a little.  Since his weakness is one sided I just bout a Heme sidewalker on amazon, I highly recommend.  It's stable and can help getting up from a chair, bed... and takes up less ...

They haven't ruled out or mentioned leptomeningeal yet.  I don't Think that's the cause of his symptoms.  I believe it's radionecrosis: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/10395835?log$=activity.  It's been four years with one recurrence, If you beat back the tumor for this long even though MGMT methylated, issues due to  radiation necrosis may show, even if there's no new tumor.. or regrowth...

Mike, my husband's a long term GBM survivor,... over four years since a successful resection of a 2 1/2 x 7 cm , tumor... right temporal lobe.  MGMT methylated.  He had radiation and two six month rounds of temodar, an MRI every 2 months.  Had successful surgery for recurrence a year ago. He didn't have radiation this time but taking temodar again... new tests s...
