Call Bill A and ask him for Dr. Seifker Ratkde's number. He was our first contact at MDAnderson. Tell him Vivian Toole recommended you call and that you would like to be in touch with Dr. Radtke directly. I know him well and have worked with him in terms of MDA donations.

Michael took the words right out of my mouth! Call Dr. Arlene Seifker Radtke at MDAnderson in Houston. That is the place to be for this rare disease. Don't you dare let any doctor tell you he/she will not/cannot do anything more for your husband. The prognosis will be good if you get your husband to the right place with the right doctors/treatment/knowledge and facility.

Hello E...first, I'm sorry you find yourself on here. This is a difficult journey. I have a couple of concerns here- why have they waited so long to do the partial cystectomy???? Time is it the essence with this extremely rare form of cancer! And, once they are in there doing what sounds like an ," partial cystectomy with en bloc resection of the bladder, why are they not taking out lymph nodes at that same time? T...
