    During the 2nd week of January, my husband decided he couldn't eat or drink, except for taking his pills. This went on for 2 weeks. He was so weak, he'd hold on to the walls to go down the hallway, all the while refusing to go to the hospital or even his doctor.  He insisted on keeping his chemo appointment.       My husband was diagnosed with Esophageal Cancer, Stage IV with metz to the liver and lymph nodes. Has been on chemo for a little more than 6 months.  The blood work pretty good and the ct scans show that the tumors have radically shrunk in the liver.  Now he's having serious back pain that keeps him up most nights. While he was in the chemo chair and the pain again took over, I spoke to the Chemo nurse...

        Shags, Modesta and Sandy, I'm so sorry.  We're at the beginning of this horrible journey. My husband was diagnosed 7 months ago with Esophageal Stage IV cancer with mets to the liver and lymph nodes. We were told his only option is  chemo to reduce the tumors and make him comfortable and lead as normal life as possible  but lately that's not what's happening.  Although his bloodwork looks goo...

          I've recently been diagnosed. Can anyone help me read my blood work results?  My Alkaline phosphatase measurement is 600 U/L and my Aspartate aminotransferase measurement (AST/SGOT) is 152 U/L.  Any help will be appreciated.
